Our Mission

    The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help other be supportive.

Welcome

    We extend our hands in friendship and our hearts in understanding. We are truly sorry for the circumstances that brought you to us, but we are here to share your grief. We have no easy answers, but promise you understanding through our shared experiences.

Meetings

    The Lakes Area Chapter meets the third Tuesday of each month from 7-9 p.m. at the Richardson Senior Citizen Center, 1485 Oakley Park Road in Commerce Township across from Walled Lake Central High School.                                                          

Healing the Grieving Heart
